Furniture buying tips:

Furniture is undoubtedly the backbone of a room so try to buy some key pieces that are both functional and aesthetically- pleasing.

Don't be tempted to buy cheap; bad quality furniture won't last very long and you really don't want to be buying a new dining table in a year's time!
Triple check all dimensions carefully. Make sure you know how much space you have and if possible tape the outlines onto the floor.
Be careful not to overstuff a room as it might end up looking clogged up and smaller than it really is. Similarly, don't choose furniture that will get lost in a large space.

Make sure you can comfortably move around furniture by allowing at least 60cm of empty space around each piece.
Also, don't forget to check whether your new furniture will fit in through your doorway.

Carefully evaluate the cost/ benefits of hard woods versus veneers.
Finally, don't be afraid to mix and match different kinds of woods and styles.
Check both the internatl dimensions and make sure it fits through your doorways.
